Hillstock - A DIY Music Festival

My amazing friend Terrence, whom I have known since my hazy days at NYU, invited us to his latest Brooklyn experiment - Hillstock, a DIY music festival right here in Brooklyn.  Hillstock itself was a 3 day event, taking place in various Brooklyn locations.  I only made it to Saturday's festivities, but I am so glad I did!  It was the perfect Brooklyn experience - consisting of 2 stages, 16 musical guests, a diverse audience, food, beer and of course, brown paper bags.  Each band performed a 30 minute set, which seemed like the perfect amount of time, that is until 6:30 came around, and Swear and Shake took the stage.  Their music translated into sunshine, and 30 minutes just wasn't enough.  I guarantee if you haven't heard of them, you will soon and you will be happy you did!

Support local artists, and give them a click...  Swear and Shake

Since I had my camera out, some others things caught my eye.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.
